(Usagi's Love! The Moon Light Illuminates the Galaxy)

The episode begins with a flashback. Galaxia's starseed is shown emerging from an orange blossom, turning into a butterfly, and floating towards our solar system. ChibiChibi's voice narrates, "That was the beginning of everything..." Galaxia, still not having been overtaken by Chaos in the flashback, is shown amidst golden flower petals. She says, "Fly away, my star! My Light of Hope! To someone who will embrace you warmly! To the newly born stars and planets of love and justice!"
[Opening begins, playing Sailor Star Song]
ChibiChibi floats in the air, silently praying, with pink ripples coming from underneath her feet. The injured Starlights sit in awe, while Usagi lies on the floor, tattered ribbons all around her. Galaxia stands, sword in hand, and asks, "Is it awakening? The Light of Hope that I sent out to the galaxy back then?" ChibiChibi's eyes suddenly open, and the ripples reverse direction and begin moving faster. Water and light encase the child, and a brilliant pink light emanates from her body.
[Title screen is shown]
Usagi floats above the Earth, within the pink light, naked except for the pink ribbons covering her body. A voice calls out, "Sailor Moon..." Usagi opens her eyes. A mysterious adult figure appears before her and says, "I've been looking for you... someone who will accept me..." When Usagi asks who she is, the woman replies, "I am a shining star that was once within Galaxia; the Light of Hope. Please accept my shining life!" She transforms into a pink butterfly and flies to Sailor Moon. She then changes into a beautiful starseed... a warm light. Usagi holds her arms up to the starseed and is immediately clothed as Princess Serenity. The voice says, "Please light up the galaxy again with the Light of Hope... by using this sword." The starseed then transforms into a large sword with a gold hilt. The Light of Hope then asks Usagi to defeat Galaxia and end the war with the sword, called the Sword of Sealing.
"I won't let that happen!!" Galaxia screams, as she attacks Usagi with her own sword. The two swords clang against each other, and Usagi begins falling towards the earth as the Starlights helplessly look on. Just as Galaxia is going to attack again, Usagi grabs the Sword of Sealing and immediately sprouts wings. She stops falling and flies up towards Galaxia. Galaxia, however, continues falling and crashes into the earth.
From the darkness below, Galaxia's eyes begin to glow with an eerie red light. "You're trying to seal me with the sword's power!" she says as her bracelets shatter, "But you can't defeat me with that power!" Her outfit transforms into black armor, and her hair turns a deep red. "This is the body of the strongest soldier in the galaxy, Sailor Galaxia! You're dead, Sailor Moon!" She attacks Usagi once again, and their swords crash into each other. Galaxia tells Sailor Moon that she intends to collect every starseed in the galaxy in the name of Chaos. Sailor Moon urges her to stop fighting, but Galaxia asserts that she will end the war that has been going on since the creation of the galaxy... she will destroy every light in the galaxy, including Sailor Moon and the Light of Hope.
The Light of Hope's voice says to Usagi that Galaxia's entire body has been overtaken by Chaos. A flashback scene begins, showing Galaxia sealing Chaos within her body. The Light of Hope narrates, "Since she sealed Chaos into herself, her body began to spoil little by little." Galaxia's starseed is shown emerging from a golden blossom and floating away as a butterfly. "She made a wish on her pure starseed and sent it to the far reaches of the galaxy... and it reached you." ChibiChibi is shown, revealed to be the Light of Hope, Galaxia's starseed "But it's too late!," the voice continues, "Please, Sailor Moon, use that sword and save the galaxy!"
The flashback ends and Galaxia attacks once again. Usagi begs her to stop, be she refuses. The Light of Hope begs Usagi to stop Galaxia, but she refuses. Finally, Galaxia crashes her sword into Usagi's, but Usagi quickly thrusts her sword into Galaxia's wing. Blood trickles down the blade of the sword, and time seems to stop for a moment. Angered, Galaxia uses her own sword to shatter the Sword of Sealing into millions of tiny pieces. The sword flashes with a brilliant pink light, and transforms into the battered body of tiny ChibiChibi. As Usagi hugs ChibiChibi, her body fades away... she has died. Usagi tells Galaxia that nothing is gained by fighting, but Galaxia disagrees and tells her that she doesn't have the courage or pride of a soldier. Usagi says that if a soldier's pride means hurting one another, she doesn't want it.
[Commercial Break]
Galaxia asks if Usagi has given up, but she says that she hasn't - she loves this world. Her starseed shines brightly, and her clothing disappears entirely. She tries to tell Galaxia that the world is a wonderful place, but is only hit with a large blast of energy from the villain. Galaxia tells her that the world cannot be protected by someone who refuses to fight, and that all of Usagi's friends are gone because of her weakness. Usagi says, "They're not gone... The Starlights told me that if I don't give up, they're always with me! It's possible that everyone is really gone when I give up. So I won't give up. Never!"
The ginzuishou begins to glow brightly and emit white light as Sailor Star Song plays in the background.
Usagi spreads her wings and flies towards Galaxia, only to be hit by another burst of energy. She struggles forward, telling Galaxia that she is determined to light up the galaxy and embrace the world. A strong burst of energy hits Usagi, and Galaxia tells that there is nothing left but to give up. To this Usagi replies, "I won't give up! Because I believe! The world I love... this world everyone tried to protect... that small hope left in your heart!" The ginzuishou shines even more brightly... Galaxia queries, "What is this light...?"
Somewhere deep inside, Galaxia has goodness in her heart. The good Galaxia, long hair flowing, is shown standing in the sunlight in a field of golden flowers. Usagi reaches her hand out, and Galaxia turns around. The golden flowers in the field bloom, emitting hundreds of starseeds.
Usagi and Galaxia (in her armor) are shown before each other once again. Starseeds are floating all around them. Usagi says, "I love this world... the world where I met everyone! I don't want to lose you or anyone!" She flies towards Galaxia again, who raises her sword. The sword shatters into millions of pieces, and deep inside, Galaxia's good voice emerges, saying that she loves this world as well.
The good Galaxia is shown, reaching her hand out to Usagi. She says, "I can see you, Sailor Moon! I can see your shine! A very warm, sweet light!" The two clasp hands, and Chaos leaves Galaxia's body. Her armor shatters, leaving her nude, and her hair flows out behind her. As Chaos leaves her body and flies into the sky, the dark clouds are dispersed and the bright light of the moon emerges. Bright starseeds float all around Galaxia and Usagi.
Galaxia says, "Thank you, Sailor Moon! Your shine lit up the galaxy with that very warm, sweet light. Is Chaos gone?" Usagi replies, "I think it went back to where it belongs... back to people's minds." "Then again...," Galaxia says... but Usagi assures her that the Light of Hope is in everyone's minds. "How strong you are," Galaxia laments, "but what I did was irreparable!" Usagi says, "Let's do it all again from the beginning! It's not too late! Please guide the starseeds so they don't get lost!" Galaxia thanks Usagi and disappears into the galaxy to return all of the lost starseeds.
Floating alone now, Usagi begins to cry. "Everyone, I hung in there! But I'm lonely... I'm not that strong! I'm alone, everyone!" Suddenly Sailor Mars's voice calls out, "You're not alone!" A lone starseed appears in front of Usagi, and all of her friends suddenly appear around her. They tell her that she's not alone... everyone is around her! They all believed she could do it.
Two more voices ring out... "Usako..." "Chibi..." Two starseeds appear and transform into Tuxedo Kamen and ChibiChibi! Tuxedo Kamen says, "This little girl led me to you, Usako." She begins to cry, as Mamoru tells her that she did great. "Don't worry," he says, hugging her, "it's all over." ChibiChibi thanks Usagi, and disappears into the sky in a bright pink light. The Starlights look on from the ground, and Princess Kakyuu appears behind them.
Later, the five Inner Senshi appear atop the school building with Mamoru, Luna, Artemis, Princess Kakyuu, and the Starlights. The Starlights are leaving to create a new world with their Princess, and everyone exchanges goodbyes. Seiya tells Usagi that he is glad she got her boyfriend back. She tells him that it is because Seiya was there with her. Seiya tells her that he'll never forget, and Usagi says that they will be friends forever. Everyone snickers and laughs at Usagi because she didn't understand what Seiya was really saying. Seiya turns to Mamoru and says, "Mamoru, protect her. It's just some words from some guy." Mamoru smiles knowingly and says that he understands. Seiya, Taiki, and Yaten then transform into their senshi form, as women, and disappear into the sky.
Four shooting stars streak across the sky as the four Outer Senshi look on from Haruka's car. Haruka says, "They're not shooting stars anymore. They'll shine properly as stars in the night sky." Hotaru asks everyone what they wished for. Michiru says, "There is nothing to wish for. Now is our happiest moment, isn't it Haruka?" "Yes!," comes the reply.
Usagi and Mamoru are shown in the park at night. "Mamo-chan," asks Usagi, "Do you love me?" He replies that he does. "Really?" she asks. He replies in the affirmative again. She asks him how much, but he inquires as to why this is coming so suddenly. He tells her that it feels wonderful to be with her. They stand looking at each other, with the moon in the background.
Usagi's voice begins, "I'm Tsukino Usagi, 16 years old, in the first year of high school. I'm a bit rash and a crybaby... but, iI'm actually the soldier for love and justice, Sailor Moon!" Usagi and Mamoru kiss as Moonlight Densetsu begins to play in the background.
