EPISODE 174
(A Storm at School! Transfer Students are Idols)
Original Air Date: 05-18-1996

A plane can be seen flying high in the sky. Usagi stands on the roof of her school, looking towards the sky. The ring that Mamoru gave her before his departure glimmers in the sunlight. She thinks of her boyfriend, and remembers standing in front of a window writing his name in the mist on the window. She remembers being with her friends.
In her thoughts, which are directed towards Mamoru, she tells her boyfriend about the recent events of her life. She says that her friends are crazy about a group called the Three Lights, and says discusses the filming of the television show at the park, from the previous episode. Usagi is shown writing a letter to Mamoru at school. Her thoughts continue, and she says that although the other girls want to make the Three Lights their boyfriends, she only thinks about Mamoru.
As Usagi signs the letter, Minako, Makoto, and Ami peer over her shoulder and discuss her long-distance romance. Usagi desperately tries to cover her letter, Ami asks if she has forgotten the Kanji characters she learned for the entrance exam.

At school, Makoto hurls a javelin through the air while a group of students looks on and cheers. A boy behind her says, "Great! As expected from the rumor! The rumor that you'e a super-powered girl at Juuban High is true, isn't it?" Makoto blushes, but the boy continues, saying, "Let's enjoy youth with perspiration!" He extends his hand to Makoto, who had planned on joining the cooking club, and says, "Not utilizing your power in any sports activities is an insult to them!" Makoto is unsure, but the boy persuades her to join anyway.
Meanwhile, Ami types away at a computer as several students crowd behind her to look over her shoulder. A paper prints out, and Ami gives the paper to a boy behind her, saying that she downloaded the document (which is about space engineering) from the Columbia University library's internet site. The boy says that he doesn't speak English well, but Ami offers to translate it for him.
Next, Minako is seen in her gym clothes, hitting a volleyball several times, each time with great force. She is determined to help the volleyball team win the national championship. She puts her hands on her hips and laughs, while several other students simply look on in silence.
Across campus, the bell rings, and Usagi can be seen. Luna walks up to her and asks if she is walking home alone, and she tells the cat that the other girls are all involved in after-school club activities. Usagi says that she would only want to belong to a club if it was super fun, where she could sing, dance, and eat lots of snacks. It would also have to have a lot of cute boys, and the opportunity to travel to America. Luna gets a huge sweatdrop and tells Usagi that for now, she belongs to the Go-Home Club.
Later, Usagi walks home with Luna draped over her shoulder. She thinks back to the events of episode 173 (which happened the previous day), and to meeting Sailor Iron Mouse and the Starlights for the first time. She asks Luna how she should tell everyone about what happened. Luna says that since they don't know anything yet, they should just wait to see what happens.
Just as Usagi is saying that she has a bad feeling about it, Seiya (wearing dark glasses and a coat) walks around a corner and crashes into her. He quickly apologizes, and she says that she's ok. She turns around, and the two recognize each other from their brief meeting in the previous episode. Much to her annoyance, he calls her 'Odango.' She scolds him for this, but he tells her that is unsafe for her to walk about without looking ahead. She retorts that he was the one who rushed around the corner.
"You're strange," says Seiya, "Ordinary girls become happy when they bump into me." When Usagi asks why, he simply say that it is because he is cool. Taiki and Yaten appear behind him and tell him that it is time to go. Seiya says goodbye to 'Odango' and tells her that she is lucky. She thinks he is terrible, and is only a little good looking. Luna agrees that he does look pretty good.
A building is shown bearing the sign, "Ginga TV." After going through the lobby, a room called the "Third Production Room" is seen. Inside, the room is completely empty. Television screens flicker, and Sailor Iron Mouse sits at the controls, turning various knobs. Different people flash before her on the television screen, and she finally stops when she sees a clip of a tall, strong football player being interviewed. This is entry number 35 in her computer... Yuuji Kayama. He is the captain of the American-style football team at Juuban High School. She says that he's young, and his should muscles look good... she'll get him!
A telephone rings at a desk behind Sailor Iron Mouse. She sits down at the desk, opens a drawer, and answers a black telephone that was within the drawer. "Producer Nezu," says a voice, "the President is calling you." Iron Mouse then walks down a series of deserted hallways until she comes to an elevator with boards nailed across the front. Signs on the elevator says "Out of Order" and "Prohibited Use." She swipes her card, the doors open, and she walks through. The digital numbers inside the elevator quickly flash with various floors.
Finally, the door opens and Sailor Iron Mouse walks through into empty space. She bows before Galaxia's throne. Galaxia asks if she found a true Star Seed, and Iron Mouse replies that she has found a human with a brighter Star Seed now. "To dominate all galaxies," says Galaxia, "get a true Star Seed as soon as possible! I'll be expecting good news!" Iron Mouse bows, and the scene fades out.
Usagi walks outside with Ami and Makoto. They come upon a large crowd, and quickly spot Minako. Minako is completely starstruck. When the girls ask what is going on, Minako tells them that the Three Lights are transfering to Juuban High School. While they are are talking, a black van pulls up to the building and comes to a screeching stop. Rei suddenly appears out of nowhere behind Minako! Everyone is surprised to see her there, but she says that she wanted to see them, too!
Dozens of girls scream wildly as Taiki and Yaten step out of the van. Rei walks up and proudly announces that she is member 2906 of the Three Lights fan club. Makoto pushes her over to tell them that she is member 1606. Minako bursts onto the scene boasting that she is member 278. Suddenly, Ami demurely walks up and timidly says that she is member 25. She holds up her glittering gold card as proof, much to the astonishment of the other three girls. Ami is quite embarrassed.
Taiki thanks the girls, but Yaten says that it's noisy; they should hurry up. Seiya steps out of the van and immediately finds Usagi in the crowd. He calls her "Odango" again and waves to her, and she is quite surprised to learn that he is a member of the Three Lights. Seiya says, "You must want to be classmates," but this angers Usagi. Usagi's four friends ask her how she knows Seiya, but she says that it is a complicated story, and that he is a strange guy.
In class, the teacher introduces the Three Lights (who are in the same class as Usagi) and tells them to make the boys feel welcome. Usagi is angry, and Seiya winks at her, only making her angrier. The teacher tells the boys to take their seats. Minako stands up and starts screaming to Yaten that the seat next to her is vacant. Taiki sits next to Makoto, and of course Seiya sits directly behind Usagi. He says, "Takie it easy, Odango," but she asserts that her name is Usagi Tsukino!
Minako says, "Well done!" to Usagi, and Seiya tells Usagi that the Three Lights want to join some clubs. She asks if she knows any good ones. She replies, "There is nothing that is super fun, where you can sing and dance, where you can eat snacks, where there are a super number of super cool boys and where you can go to America!" Seiya sighs, but Minako runs up and tells him that she can show him around if he'd like. Minako is scolded by the teacher for jumping up, because they are right in the middle of class! She returns to her seat.
Seiya asks Usagi if she can show him around, too. She tells him that he must be joking, and he sighs again. Minako rushes up once more and says that she and Usagi can show him around. Again, the teacher scolds them for talking.
Meanwhile, Iron Mouse appears outside the school and says, "Here it is..."
[Commercial Break]
Dozens of fans scream in the auditorium. Seiya is playing basketball, while Taiki, Yaten, Usagi, Minako, Makoto, and Ami look on. Seiya makes fun of his opponent while Taiki and Yaten scoff. Seiya dribbles across the court and scores a goal. Everyone cheers, and Rei suddenly shows up out of nowhere. She says she ran there from school. Yaten is tired of being at the gym; he says it smells like sweat. Taiki says he prefers cultural clubs to this place. Yaten doesn't like cultural clubs either... he decides to go home.
Minako runs up and wraps her arms around Taiki. "That's right," she says, "an intellectual person like you fits into cultural clubs, don't you Taiki? Sports clubs small like sweat. I, Minako Aino, am knowledgeable with cultural clubs and will show you around!" He says that he can go by himself, but she is determined to show him... and a little scary about it! She puts her arm around him, and they walk away.
Across the gym, Rei says that Minako is incredible. Ami says that other fans hesitate to approach them at school, and Makoto says that she wishes she could do that. "Hey, Odango!" Seiya calls out. Usagi turns around and yells at him for calling her "Odango." He asks where they are going next, and she angrily says that she just doesn't know! Rei, Ami, and Makoto scold her and say that she can't talk like that with their idol!
Usagi takes Seiya to the American-style football club, and he says that it perfectly matches a cool man like him. A football flies through the air and lands at Seiya's feet. He picks it up and asks if Usagi would like to see a touchdown. She says that that's impossible; the Juuban High School football team is strong. Seiya runs across the field, avoiding several players. Finally, he is hit very hard and falls to the ground. Usagi runs to his aid, and scolds the player who hit him for tackling an amateur not wearing protection.
Without saying a word, Seiya turns around and shakes the player's hand. The player introduces himself as Captain Kayama. Usagi is shocked! Seiya tells Captain Yuuji Kayama that he is a big and very powerful. The football player congratulates Seiya for doing well against the team, and Seiya tells him that if he just sees it as following and passing it through, it's not a big thing. The footbal captain asks if he'd like to join the team, and Seiya accepts the invitation. Usagi says, "Why do you want to get together with such a wild man?" Seiya tells her that she'll never understand. Captain Kayama says, "Take it easy, Miss Odango."
Captain Yuuji Kayama cools off under a water faucet. A voice behind him says, "What a good inspiration you have, Mr. Kayama!" He turns to see Sailor Iron Mouse, dressed in her pin-striped suit. She continues, "You're shining! You're born as a perfect star for an American style football league! My name is Nezu, a producer at Ginga TV. I want to gather your data."
Yuuji scratches his head and says that he has a meeting soon, so maybe they can meet later. Iron Mouse runs up to him and grabs his arm. "What big muscles! As expected, it's very attractive," she says. He is very embarrassed, and asks her to gather her data later, but she says, "Oh, that's too bad! I've been waiting for you to be alone. I don't want to wait any longer! Yes... I like where you're standing."
Iron Mouse backs away from him, and he asks who she is. She screams "Chuu!" and jumps into the air, revealing herself to be Sailor Iron Mouse. Meanwhile, Usagi is inside the school when she hears Yuuji scream, as he is being attacked. A small flower appears above his head, and it blooms, revealing his Star Seed. Usagi runs outside to find him floating in the air. She quickly transforms into Eternal Sailor Moon.
Yuuji's Star Seed clouds over, and Iron Mouse says, "Damn, it's not a Star Seed I want!" She turns around when she hears Eternal Sailor Moon say, "Stop right there!" After the soldier gives her speech, Iron Mouse simply yawns and says, "You again? Well, that's all right... today's business is over. For the rest of the time time, please have fun with the phage! Later!" She turns and steps into a phone booth, which then disappears.
Yuuji, meanwhile, turns into a phage named Sailor Guts and says, "Men's attractiveness is... blood, sweat, and guts! Come get it! Youth's Perspiration Attack!" Sweat pours from his hands, which forms two large orbs. He then throws the orbs at Eternal Sailor Moon, who says that they smell bad as she leaps away.
Suddenly, Sailor Jupiter appears and performs Jupiter Oak Evolution, destroying the orbs. She, Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Venus appear behind Sailor Moon, asking about the new enemy. Eternal Sailor Moon tells them that it is Yuuji Kayama from the American-style footbal team, who has been changed into a phage.
Sailor Guts leaps into the air and attacks with "Youth's Perspiration Attack" once more, causing the senshi to run to avoid it. "With that energy," he says, "go around the school yard ten times!"
Just as he is about to attack again, snapping sounds can be heard as the Sailor Starlights appear. They say, "Penetrating the darkness at night... the air of freedom breaks through... we are the three sacred shooting stars..." They introduce themselves, much to the awe of Sailor Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, and Venus. "This time," say the Starlights, "we'll take care of you!"
Sailor Guts yells, "Guts! It's guts!" and flings another orb of perspiration through the air. Sailor Star Maker attacks with Star Gentle Uterus, causing the orb to splash back onto Sailor Guts's face. He writhes in agony on the ground as the perspiration burns his skin. Sailor Star Healer says, "The five of you couldn't do any better," and Sailor Star Fighter asks the girls if they are senshi.
Eternal Sailor Moon uses Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss on Sailor Guts. He calls out, "Beautiful!" just before changing back into Yuuji Kayama. The flower above his head closes back around his Star Seed, and he falls to the ground, unconscious. The Sailor Starlights have disappeared, and the other senshi wonder who they are and what is happening.
At Fruit Parlor Crown, Usagi sits in a booth drawing. Rei, Ami, Makoto, and Minako emerge behind her, and she quickly covers the drawing. They tell her that they heard she has joined the Cartoon Club, and pick up her drawing to look at it. They all say it is very cute, and although it's Luna in the drawing, they argue about what it is... "A pig with a crescent bald patch is very unique!" "No, it's a raccoon dog!" "Let's see... is it a Tasmanian devil?"
Usagi snatches the drawing away and says that it is Luna, much to the surprise of the other girls. She pouts and tells them to leave her alone, as Luna pops up on the screen.
