Usagi runs out of her house, late for school... as usual. She accidentally trips and falls on the sidewalk. Her brother, Shingo, catches up with her to tell her that she forgot her bag. He scolds her for crying because of the fall. She angrily takes the bag from him.

Luna and Artemis sit on the roof of the house and watch this scene unfold. Luna says that it has been two months since Usagi and the other Sailor Senshi lost their memories. Artemis remarks that they have gone back to their normal lives. Artemis tries to snuggle next to Luna, but she calls him a pervert and scratches his face!

When Usagi arrives late to school at Juuban Municipal Junior High School, her teacher makes her stand outside the door with a bucket of water on her head.

Ami Mizuno walks out of her own classroom and sees Usagi standing in the hallway. Having lost their memories, the girls do not remember each other. Ami does remember that Usagi is constantly punished in this way, and Usagi recognizes Ami as "that whiz girl in Class 5."

Ami wipes Usagi's tears, causing Usagi to remark, "I wish that cold-hearted Ms. Haruna could be more like you!" The teacher suddenly appears, having overheard the comment. She tells Ami, "Nothing good will happen if you get involved with Usagi." Usagi angrily asks if teachers are allowed to say things like that. The clumsy girl then accidentally drops the water bucket on Haruna's head! The entire class seems to have seen this incident. Haruna is furious!

That night, Usagi sleeps soundly in her bed, dreaming of eating treats. Dogs all over her neighborhood are barking. Suddenly, an extremely bright light shines through her windows. Usagi wakes up, wondering if it is morning already. Outside, a bright light flies through the sky, then crashes into the Earth. When Usagi hears the explosion, she thinks it must be an earthquake! She cowers under her covers as Luna looks on.

The object that crashed into the Earth has made a large crater. The thing begins to glow and move. It floats into the sky and into a nearby apartment.

The next morning, dozens of people crowd around the crater that was created the night before. Among them are Rei's grandfather, Rei, Minako, Ami, Makoto, and Usagi. Even Luna and Artemis look on from a nearby rooftop. Luna says that she has a bad feeling about this.

Usagi sees Ami in the crowd and comments that even such a smart girl must not be able to resist rubbernecking. Makoto accidentally bumps into Usagi, but she apologizes, saying that someone pushed her from behind. Usagi recognizes her as "that Hercules girl who just transferred over."

Usagi has a strange feeling... she thinks to herself, "It's weird... when the three of us are together, I feel kind of nostalgic." She is distracted from her thoughts when she sees a flier on the ground advertising an establishment where snack foods are 80% off.

While she excitedly talks about it, a male voice from behind her says, "If you keep eating sweets, your body will become a dumpling, too." She thinks that "obnoxious voice" sounds familiar... it is Mamoru Chiba, who calls her "odango atama" (dumpling head). The only memories she has of him are from seeing him around town. Likewise, he doesn't know her.

She angrily asks him why he always calls her "dumpling head." He replies by saying that he just doesn't want the "dumpling head" to get a "dumpling body." She tells him to mind his own business.

In the apartment where the mysterious meteorite landed, two strange aliens with green skin sit on the balcony. The male (Al) says "This planet is full of high quality energy." His female companion (An) says that their difficult journey was worth it.

He asks her what she is thinking about, and she says that she is thinking of him. She asks the same question, and he says, "You. I cannot find words to describe your beauty. The hero Perseus fell in love with the beautiful Andromeda, and he risked his life to protect her from monsters. I wish I could be like Perseus." He begins to play a tune on his flute, and she leans against him.

The next day, Ms. Haruna introduces two new students at Juuban Municipal Junior High School - Seijuurou Ginga and Natsumi Ginga. Seijuurou is in the ninth grade, and he is the older brother. Natsumi is in the eighth grade, and she is the younger sister.

Usagi immediately thinks that Seijuurou is handsome. Naru thinks that he has a nice name -- a name which Umino feels is "too cheesy to be true."

In class, Natsumi explains that she just came back from another country and that she speaks English fluently. When Usagi asks her to say something in English, she simply says, "Fera fera fera..." over and over. All of the students are very confused, and Usagi and Naru think she is weird. Natsumi does not seem fazed.

The students soon hear beautiful flute music nearby, which the girls find mesmerizing. Natsumi angrily thinks to herself, "Ail... your bad habit is starting up again."

As all of the girls crowd around Seijuurou in the hallway, Umino becomes very agitated and he wants to do something for Naru, too. He takes out a small recorder and begins playing a tune, but she takes it away from him and slaps the back of his head.

Seijuurou stops playing his flute and walks to where Naru and Usagi are standing, saying that he has finally found "the Andromeda of [his] heart." Naru blushes and Umino attempts to protect her. However, both of them are surprised when they figure out that Seijuurou is actually talking about Usagi -- not Naru!

He lifts his flute and says that he will play a tune on his flute which "describes his feelings" for her called Galaxy Fantasy Impromptu No. 5: Beautiful Andromeda's Miracle. Usagi becomes very excited, but before Seijuuro begins t play, he sees Natsumi angrily glaring at him.

She demands to know what he is doing. He says, "nothing" before walking away. She also turns to leave. All of the students nearby are baffled by this behavior.

As Seijuuro and Natumi walk home after school, he tells her that she needs to keep "things like that" to a minimum. She says that's her line! He continues by telling her that he knows how she feels, but they are supposed to be just brother and sister in public. She angrily accuses him of always looking at other girls right away.

Soon, she sees Mamoru walking towards them, engrossed in a book. When she passes by him, she thinks that he is her ideal man. Seijuuro does not notice that she isn't paying attention, and continues telling her to please believe in his love. He says there is no way he could love someone else as much as he loves her. When he turns around, Natsumi is gone, following Mamoru.

Mamoru drops his book, and Natsumi rushes to help him. Before she gets to him (and before he notices her), she suddenly becomes extremely dizzy and disoriented. She drops to the ground, clutching her chest. She desperately needs energy! Seijuuro quickly comes to her rescue.

Later that night, Usagi and Naru are talking on the phone. Naru says, "Usagi! It seems like Seijuuro fell i love with you at first sight!" Usagi excitedly asks what she should do and says, "Oh boy! It's terrible to be born so pretty! But Seijuuro has good taste!" Luna looks on and thinks, "There she goes again." She wonders what she should do about Usagi.

At Juuban Odyssey apartments, where An and Ail have made their home, Ail plays his flute in an extradimensional space where a large tree - the Makaiju - is housed. An lies on top of one of the tree's limbs, unconscious. As Ail plays, the tree glows and produces a flowering pod which drops a tiny amount of sap onto An. She begins to glow, then ultimately opens her eyes.

[Commercial Break]

An becomes conscious again. She giggles and floats through the air to sit next to Ail. Suddenly, the enormous tree's leaves begin to wither. Ail notes that the life energy that they need to survive is running low. An says this planet is overflowing with life energy, and the two observe pictures of animals, plants, and people all over Earth.

An says that the people seem to have especially fresh energy. Ail feels that after wandering all over, they have finally found their sanctuary.

Ail holds up several cards and tells An to pick the best Cardian for their upcoming operation, saying that she can predict the future better than anyone in the universe. She selects a card, which floats above them and glows before showing a picture of a flower-like Cardian.

Ail says, "The beauty of flowers is short and fleeting, but the strength of our lives..." An says that stealing energy from flowers is a waste of time, so they must steal from people. The energy of young women in love is especially potent. Ail thinks this is a pity, and wonders if they can steal it from men instead. An scolds him for this statement, so he agrees to do it her way.

Ail floats in the air and calls out, "Come forth, Cardian! My loyal servant, Vampire!" He plays a tune on his flute and the card begins to glow. It sprouts arms and legs and transforms into the Cardian Vampire.

A scream is heard somewhere in Tokyo. Luna and Artemis are nearby, and when they look in the direction of the scream, they see Vampire's shadow draining the energy of a young girl before fleeing the scene. The cats rush towards the girl, who has collapsed. They realize that their worries turned out to be true.

Artemis asks if they should revive everyone. Both cats agree that it would be unfair, because they have just returned to normal. They decide they must resolve the crisis on their own. Soon, they hear another scream.

Naru, who is on the phone with Usagi, hears the scream and looks out of her window to the street below, where she witnesses Vampire draining the energy of another girl. The Cardian flies into her window and strangles her with vines. Naru drops the phone as her energy is drained.

Luna and Artemis leap into the window. Luna wonders, "Why do they always steal energy from her?!" Artemis jumps at the Cardian in an attempt to attack, but is knocked away. Luna tries the same thing, but the Cardian sends tentacles flying towards her. Artemis pushes her out of the way. The two realizes that they cannot handle this situation by themselves, but are still hesitant to call Usagi.

Suddenly, they hear Usagi calling out to Naru. After Naru dropped the phone, Usagi realized that something must be wrong. She came to her friend's apartment to help the girl. Usagi and Naru's mother rush into the room and are surprised to find the Cardian there, draining Naru's energy. Naru's mother collapses, while Usagi trembles with fear.

Luna tells Usagi to run, but seeing her cat speak scares her even more. Usagi decides that this must be a dream. If it is a dream, then that means she is the strongest person in the world.

The girl confronts the monster and says, "If you hurt Naru, I'll punish you!" She takes her old stance as Sailor Moon. Confused, she feels that her words seem strangely familiar.

Vampire grabs Usagi with her tentacles and begins to drain the girl's energy. Luna tries to attack, but is knocked away. Usagi thinks, "It's weird... this is supposed to be a dream..."

Artemis attacks Vampire again, this time getting close enough to claw the Cardian's face and cause her to release Usagi. He is knocked away, but he lures Vampire out the window.

Luna struggles with the decision of whether or not to awaken Usagi as Sailor Moon. She realizes that Artemis and everyone in town will have their energy drained if she doesn't do something, so she decides to awaken Sailor Moon.

The crescent moon on Luna's forehead begins to glow, and a beam connects it from Luna to the center of Usagi's forehead. Slowly, a crescent moon appears on Usagi as well. The girl closes her eyes as memories come flooding back to her. She sees her battle with Queen Beryl, the deaths of her friends and Mamoru, and her wish to be normal after defeating the Dark Kingdom.

Usagi's memories of the past are completely revived. Luna tells her that the people of the city are in danger, and instructs her to transform. She uses Moon Prism Power to transform into Sailor Moon.

Outside, Vampire catches up to Artemis. She attacks and begins draining his energy. Sailor Moon soon appears behind her and tells her to stop. The Cardian is distracted, and she releases Artemis only to try attacking Sailor Moon instead. The Senshi is initially able to dodge the flying tentacles, but it is soon captured.

The Cardian drains her energy and sends a large flower shooting down her tentacles towards the girl. Sailor Moon tries to reach her tiara, but is unable to gather the strength. Luckily, Luna bites Vampire's arm, causing her to release the young girl.

Sailor Moon quickly stands up and uses her Moon Tiara Action to destroy the Cardian. As she dies, Vampire screams out, "Cleansing!" A tiny card falls to the ground emitting black smoke. Sailor Moon asks Artemis if he is ok, and says that she is tired!

A male voice calls out from behind her, "Sailor Moon. I didn't know there was someone like you on this planet." A holographic image of An and Ail appears in the sky. When Sailor Moon demands to know who they are, he says, "A member of the wandering nobility of universe, Ail." An also introduces herself.

Sailor Moon deduces that these two were controlling the Cardian. As they disappear, they tell her that this is only the beginning. Sailor Moon looks at the moon with tears in her eyes and thinks, "Goodbye to the ordinary Usagi."
