In the Dark Kingdom's lair, Zoisite watches scenes from Nephrite's death. He sees how the senshi were able to defeat him, as well as the three youma, Grape, Suzuran, and Housenka. Queen Beryl soon appears and scolds him for watching such things over again, but he tells her that all the scenes show Sailor Moon being rescued at just the last moment... and Tuxedo Kamen appears to rescue her every time she has been in danger. He proposes that they make use of this to lure Tuxedo Kamen into the open and steal the two Nijizuishou that he took. Queen Beryl warns him that this will be his final chance.

Kunzite soon appears and tells Zoisite that if he wants to lure Tuxedo Kamen out, he will first have to draw the Sailor Senshi away from Tuxedo Kamen. Kunzite says that he will take care of it, while Zoisite thinks to himself that he will do this task - even if he dies - only for Kunzite, and no one else.

A robbery is taking place at the Juuban Branch of Touzai Bank. A robber with a shotgun tells the tellers to hand over the money. Suddenly, a glowing boomerang flies through the air and knocks the gun out of his hand. A very different looking Sailor Moon kicks quickly incapacitates the robber.

Later, Luna sees a news story on television about the bank robbery, with this strange-looking Sailor Moon in the picture. She is quite surprised!

Meanwhile, Makoto and Usagi are walking through town when several crystal shards fly through the hair and cut the ropes to scaffolding being used by a building's window washers. The scaffolding falls, and the window washers hold onto the ropes while hanging in mid air. Just as the rope holding them snaps, the strange-looking Sailor Moon flies through the air with another rope and rescues the workers.

Mamoru saw the incident, and wonders if "Sailor Moon" cut the ropes on purpose. Usagi and Makoto also saw everything, and Usagi begins crying. Makoto attempts to calm her, and they decide to contact Luna and the other senshi, then follow the fake Sailor Moon. Meanwhile, a young blond girl and her white cat look on and see Usagi crying hysterically.

The fake Sailor Moon leaps across the city's roof tops as Kunzite looks on, knowing that only the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen will be able to follow "her."

Mamoru and the Sailor Senshi independently follow the fake Sailor Moon to a ship yard, although they soon lose sight of "her." Makoto teasingly tells Usagi that they would have nothing to worry about if the real Sailor Moon was as hard-working as the fake one. Ami smartly wonders what her goal is... is she a friend or foe? Rei asks if she might be the fifth Senshi, but Luna says that she is not. Usagi says that they should catch the fake Sailor Moon soon and make her pay licensing fees!

The girls soon hear a scream, and they run towards the sound. Kunzite is lifting the fake Sailor Moon, who is bound at the wrists, high above the ship yard with a crane. The Senshi immediately recognize him as belonging to the Dark Kingdom. When they see the fake Sailor Moon hanging high above them, they decide that they really need to save her. Luna warns that it could be a trap, but Usagi tells her that trap or not, she cannot bear to see Sailor Moon being treated that way. The other senshi agree, and they all transform.

[Commercial Break]

Kunzite looks out over the city lights, thinking about how annoying they are. He feels that the only true beauty is "radiant darkness," and he is happy that the darkness of the Dark Kingdom will soon "shade the entire world."

The real Sailor Moon and the three other Sailor Senshi appear in order to save the fake Sailor Moon. The confront Kunzite, who introduces himself to them for the first time. He then sends a burst of dark energy towards them which completely surrounds them in a sealed black bubble from which they can't escape.

Sailor Mars attempts to use Fire Soul to destroy the bubble, but nothing happens. Kunzite's image appears within the bubble, hurling exploding bursts of energy at them. Sailor Jupiter tries to use her Supreme Thunder attack against his image, but again, nothing happens. Sailor Mercury correctly notes that the power of the attacks are being sucked into the black energy.

Soon, Kunzite causes the bubble to contract, getting smaller and smaller around the Sailor Senshi.

Meanwhile, Tuxedo Kamen rushes towards the scene, and soon sees the fake Sailor Moon hanging from the crane. He wonders if this could be a trap, but runs for it anyway. He frees the fake Sailor Moon and holds her in his arms, just in time for a bolt of lightning to hit the crane.

After taking the fake Sailor Moon to safety, "she" stabs him in the shoulder with a crystal shard and leaps away. She then removes the Sailor Senshi outfit to reveal that she is actually Zoisite in disguise. Tuxedo Kamen runs away, but Zoisite is committed to getting the other two Nijizuishou this time.

Tuxedo Kamen hides, while Kunzite continues making the black bubble around the senshi shrink. Sailor Jupiter attempts Supreme Thunder again, b ut it still doesn't work... and the bubble is still shrinking.

Zoisite chases after Tuxedo Kamen, eventually drawing him out into the open and attacking him. He then causes a flurry of rose petals to hit Tuxedo Kamen, knocking his mask away.

Queen Beryl, who is watching from her crystal ball in the Dark Kingdom's lair, is shocked to see Tuxedo Kamen's true appearance.

Zoisite prepares to kill him, when a mysteriously new Sailor Senshi hits him with a powerful attack called Crescent Beam. She appears and distracts Zoisite, allowing Tuxedo Kamen is able to escape when Zoisite turns his attention away. She then quickly disappears.

Zoisite goes to Kunzite and tells him that there is a new enemy nearby. Kunzite scolds him for failing to capture Tuxedo Kamen, hurting his feelings. Zoisite then yells out to Tuxedo Kamen to look at what is happening to the Sailor Senshi... and says that if he wants to save them, he should come out now with the Nijizuishou.

Tuxedo Kamen soon appears and Zoisite brags that this will be the end. Suddenly, a voice calls out that you must never give up! Luna recognizes the voice, and when everyone looks up, they see a new Sailor Senshi on a nearby rooftop.

She leaps down from the rooftop and removes her mask, identifying herself as Sailor Venus. She then attacks with Crescent Beam, striking Kunzite's hand and causing him to lose concentration, thereby breaking the black bubble surrounding the other senshi.

Sailor Moon immediately recognizes the new Sailor Senshi as Sailor V. A white cat, who seems to know Luna, appears and confirms her identity as Sailor Venus, formerly known as Sailor V.

Zoisite tells Kunzite to flee, saying that he will take care of the Sailor Senshi. Suddenly, they hear Queen Beryl's voice telling them to wait. Her image appears high above the ship yard, and she tells them to come back because the situation has changed. Zoisite asks why, but Queen Beryl angrily scolds him for questioning her. Kunzite says they should leave, and they ultimately do, telling the Sailor Senshi that they will finish the battle another time.

Tuxedo Kamen runs away, but the Senshi are relieved that they are safe. Artemis is glad that the five Sailor Senshi and two cats are together now. Sailor Moon asks Sailor Venus if she is the princess from the moon, but Sailor Venus just smiles and doesn't respond.
