Aliases: Pretended to be Sailor Moon once.
First Appearance: episode 014
Final Appearance: episode 035
Seiyuu: Keiichi Nanba

Zoisite was the third of the Dark Kingdom's Shitennou to appear in the first season, making his first appearance at the
beginning of
episode 014. He worked under the
direction of
Queen Beryl. During the Silver
Millenium, Queen Beryl recruited him and the other three Shitennou to become generals in her army. After their defeat in
the Silver Millenium, he was reborn in the present day along with other members of the Dark Kingdom. For the first few
episodes after his first appearance, Zoisite did not have a stated mission. He spent most of his time mocking and laughing
at fellow Shitennou
Nephrite.
Queen Beryl eventually charged Zoisite with the task of locating the
Ginzuishou,
although Nephrite also attempted to search for it. Nephrite created the powerful
Kurozuishou
to locate the Ginzuishou, but Zoisite managed to steal it in
episode 024
after instructing the youma
Grape, Suzuran, and Housenka
to kill Nephrite. In the next episode, Queen Beryl told him about the
Seven Great Youma,
and he immediately set out to locate the seven
Nijizuishou
which could be combined to form the Ginzuishou. The Nijizuishou were hidden withing seven individuals (six humans and one
cat) who were actually reincarnated youma. Zoisite worked to use the Kurozuishou to locate the Nijizuishou and extract them
from their carriers, causing them to transform into youma. Sailor Moon managed to heal all of the youma, however, with her
Moon Healing Escalation attack. By
episode 033,
the Dark Kingdom was in possession of 5 Nijizuishou, while Tuxedo Kamen had two. It became clear that they needed to draw
Tuxedo Kamen into the open to steal his crystals, while at the same time incapacitating the Sailor Senshi so that they could
not interfere. Kunzite and Zoisite devised a plan. Zoisite dressed up as Sailor Moon and lured Tuxedo Kamen to a local
ship yard. Meanwhile, Kunzite held the Senshi prisoner. All was going according to plans until Sailor Venus arrived. Meanwhile,
Queen Beryl recognized Tuxedo Kamen and told her minions to halt their attack and return at once.

In
episode 034, Zoisite and Kunzite worked together
to lure Mamoru to the
Starlight Tower. They
managed to take his two Nijizuishou, so they were in control of them all. After a brief battle, Tuxedo Kamen was severely injured
and Sailor Moon began to cry. The crystals immediately left the possession of the Dark Kingdom and floated to Sailor Moon,
where they combined with her tear to become the Ginzuishou. The Ginzuishou then immediately attached itself to the Moon
Stick. In
episode 035, Kunzite and Zoisite
returned to the Dark Kingdom's lair from Starlight Tower, taking Tuxedo Kamen with them. Queen Beryl was extremely angry
with them for allowing the Senshi to gain control of the Ginzuishou. Furthermore, Zoisite had had numerous failures, and had
attempted to kill Tuxedo Kamen against the queen's direct orders. Despite Kunzite's pleas, Queen Beryl blasted Zoisite with
a fatal burst of energy. Later, as Zoisite lay dying in Kunzite's arms, he asked to "die beautifully." Kunzite created an
illusion of flowers all around them, with flower petals floating through the air. Zoisite felt that he could now die
beautifully, and he told Kunzite that he loved him. As he died, he disappeared.
Zoisite was extremely vain and petty, and he was quite feminine. He was also very sneaky, and he often held grudges against
others, such as Nephrite. He and fellow Shitennou
Kunzite
were involved in a romantic relationship in the anime. When Zoisite became upset, Kunzite supported him and encouraged him.
Zoisite's seiyuu was
Keiichi Nanba.
YOUMA:

MANGA

Zoisite is the third of the Shitennou to appear. He appears in volume 01 act 03 with Nephrite,
pondering the appearance of the Sailor Senshi, although he is not named until act 05, after
Nephrite's death. Zoisite is the commander of the Dark Kingdom's European division, as he states
in act 06. He is about the same height as Jadeite, and his estimated age is 16-17 according to
the Materials Collection. After Nephrite falls, Kunzite warns Zoisite that he must be careful,
lest the same thing happen to him, and the reputation of the Shitennou be tarnished. The Dark
Kingdom finds out that Sailor Moon is also seeking the ginzuishou, and Queen Beryl instructs
the Shitennou to obtain the ginzuishou in order to provide energy to their great ruler, Queen
Metallia. Zoisite vows to do the job. Zoisite disguises himself as a woman who is researching
the crystal, Professor Izono, and appears on television claiming that the ginzuishou has the
power to provide eternal youth, and hypnotizes viewers into frantically searching for it. When
the ginzuishou is not found, Zoisite begins using television sets to steal energy from viewers.
Usagi's energy is stolen, but Tuxedo Kamen comes to her rescue. Sailor Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter
confront Zoisite at the television station, but he vanishes before they can fight. Sailor Moon
then uses her new recovery power (employing the Moon Stick) to save people. In volume 02 act 07, Zoisite
begins suspecting that Sailor Moon's power stems from the fact that she has the ginzuishou, so
he starts a video store called Rental Shop Dark. All of the videos in the store brainwash
viewers with a subliminal message, inciting them to capture Sailor Moon and get the ginzuishou.
The students of Juuban Junior High school are acting strangely, so the senshi check the store
out. They discover the hidden message on the tapes, and Sailor Moon heals those who watched
the tapes with Moon Healing Escalation. The senshi finally reach Zoisite, but Sailor Moon's
Moon Twilight Flash attack doesn't work on him. He grabs Sailor Moon from behind in chokehold,
and demands that she tell him where the ginzuishou is. Just as he is about to stab her, a
boomerang knocks the knife out of his hand, and moments later, and second boomerange slices
him apart. The boomerangs were those of Sailor V. Zoisite also appears later in the short side
story "Casablanca Memories." He again disguises himself as a woman - this time, he is a piano
player at the Rain Tree restaurant. The Dark Kingdom creates music boxes which cause people to
remember the past when they hear the music - the boxes drain the energy of humans. One is
controlling Makoto, and Rei destroys it. She transforms into Sailor Mars, goes to the Rain Tree
restaurant, and attacks Zoisite - but Zoisite disappears, angry that he could not avenge
Jadeite's death. In the manga, Zoisite is very effeminate, but he is not Kunzite's lover, as
he is in the anime.
