Prince Demand makes his first appearance in episode 74. He is the leader of the Black Moon Clan,
from the planet Nemesis. They are a group who had to leave Earth when Neo Queen Serenity
purified everything, and they swore revenge on those who banished them to Nemesis. Howevever,
Prince Demand is infatuated with Neo Queen Serenity, and when he sees Sailor Moon, he knows that
she is the future queen. He wanted Sailor Moon, since he could not have her in her future form.
He kidnaps Usagi and tries to make her his queen, but Tuxedo Kamen rescues her in episode 83.
In episode 87, Prince Demand tries to force her to love him, but she resists. He is blinded by
his obsession with Neo Queen Serenity, and this eventually leads to his downfall and betrayal of
Wiseman. After the death of his brother, Saphir, he becomes angry with Wiseman, but still does
not know the full extent of his plot. When he again kidnaps Sailor Moon, she helps him to
see that he is being used and manipulated by Wiseman. When Wiseman arrives, Prince Demand turns
on him. He sacrifices his life to protect Sailor Moon from Wiseman's attack, then uses what is
left of his own energy to destroy Wiseman. Prince Demand's seiyuu is Kaneto Shiozawa.
Prince Demand is the leader of the Black Moon Clan. He appears in volume 04, act 14. Prince
Demand completely trusts Wiseman, but this trust brings about the downfall of the Black Moon
Clan. Wiseman has even given him the special power of the third eye, which is an eye on his
forehead which can emit a beam to paralyze or destroy opponents. Prince Demand's plan, Operation
Re-play, involves a return to the past to take over the Earth and rewrite history. He absolutely
despises the White Moon and the power of the ginzuishou, but is in love with Neo-Queen Serenity.
In the future, when Black Moon launches her attack on Crystal Tokyo, Demand sees Neo-Queen
Serenity running out of the palace and searching for Small Lady. He becomes obsessed with her
and wants her, even though she hates him. In act 19, he realizes that Sailor Moon and Neo-Queen
Serenity are the same person after mentally comparing an angry look Sailor Moon had given him to
one the queen had given to him. He captures Sailor Moon and brings her to the castle on Nemesis,
dressing her in a beautiful gown. He tries to kiss her, but she slaps him. He tries to
transform her, but he is unable to do so. She is unable to use her powers, and so she is
allowed to travel anywhere in the castle. Saphir tries to kill her, and afterwards, she is
able to transform again. She frees Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus from the
dungeon of the castle. Prince Demand confronts her and says that the ginzuishou's power is the
reason for wars, but she argues that he is wrong and that the purpose of the ginzuishou's power
is to be used for peace. Wiseman tells Demand to kill the senshi, and he agrees, but Sailor
Moon uses the Crystal Key to transport them away before he is able to attack. The castle then
begins to crumble away, and Demand and Wiseman are trasported to Wiseman's underground castle.
Demand is curious about what Wiseman's true motives are, but Wiseman uses his power to gain his
loyalty again. Black Lady then sends Demand and Saphir to kill the senshi, and Prince Demand
attacks Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter, and is close to beginning an attack on Sailor Moon as
well. Black Lady then creates an evil Black Crystal which she attacks everyone with, and Wiseman
informs her on how to use the ginzuishou. Demand protests, saying that the world will be
destroyed, but Wiseman says he does not care because he already had control of the ginzuishou.
At this point, Prince Demand realizes that Wiseman has been using him, and he turns on his
former master. Saphir then tries to kill Demand, but Demand kills Saphir instead. Prince
Demand then turns his attention to Wiseman, attacking him with the third eye. Wiseman then
reveals that he is nothing but a skeleton underneath his cloak, and that his true form is as
the Death Phantom, or Nemesis. Black Lady takes Sailor Moon's brooch and brings the two
ginzuishou together, but Prince Deman sneaks up behind her and takes the ginzuishou from her,
saying that he can no longer trust anyone, and that even though Wiseman has the evil Black
Crystal, he now has the two ginzuishou. He is just about to bring the two crystals together
when Sailor Pluto appears and uses her Time Stop attack. The sailor soldier then has Usagi go
get the two ginzuishou. In act 23, Prince Demand again tries to kill Sailor Moon, although the
senshi already have possession of the ginzuishou. Mamoru, however, runs to Sailor Moon's side,
and the two of them combine their power to destroy Prince Demand.
