click for larger version Mistress 9 first appears in episode 123. It is an entity that is the Messiah of Silence, and it possesses Hotaru Tomoe. Hotaru sometimes has seizures, during which Mistress 9 has control of her for short periods of time. In episode 123, Hotaru swallows the Pure Heart Crystal of ChibiUsa, and Hotaru transforms into an adult woman, becoming Mistress 9. She immediately kills off Kaolinite, and is left with Professor Tomoe to complete the next stage of their plan. She tells the professor that all that is needed is for her to place the Holy Grail into the device, and the light of darkness would create a path for Master Pharaoh 90 to travel to Earth from the Tau star system. Upon Master Pharaoh 90's arrival, all would be destroyed and Earth would fall into Silence. Mugen Gakuen became the Omega Zone, protected by Daimons. In episode 124, Mistress 9 temporarily transforms back into Hotaru to try to decieve Sailor Moon into giving her the Holy Grail. This attempt fails when she calls Sailor Moon "Usagi-san," and Sailor Moon realizes that Hotaru never knew her true identity. She then changed back to reveal her true identity as Mistress 9, and explained that she had taken possession of Hotaru's body, and absorbed Hotaru. She thought that Hotaru had died, but after Hotaru's father appeared, traces of Hotaru began slipping through. In episode 125, Sailor Moon steps in front of Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune's attacks in order to protect Mistress 9, because she believes that Hotaru is still alive within her. She later deceives Sailor Moon into giving her the Holy Grail, because she says that she will die without it. Once she has possession of it, she laughs triumphantly and a force field casts the professor and Sailor Moon away from her. She put the Holy Grail into the device, and a black pillar of light shot from the building into the sky. The power of the beam blasts her, and she is weakened considerably. Hotaru, within Mistress 9, then uses the power of Saturn and her memories of loved ones to overcome Mistress 9 and destroy her. Mistress 9's body shatters with Sailor Saturn's rebirth. Mistress 9's seiyuu is Yuko Minaguchi.



MANGA


click for larger version Mistress 9 is the entity that worked alongside Master Pharaoh 90 in the Tau star system. She is implanted within Hotaru Tomoe by Professor Souichi Tomoe (her father). Hotaru was possessed by Mistress 9, and her entity is finally awoken when Hotaru seizes the ginzuishou and the soul of ChibiUsa in Act 30. She is fully awoken in Act 31, although Hotaru still exists within her. She presents the power of the ginzuishou to Master Pharaoh 90. In act 33, Master Pharaoh is preparing to merge with the planet Earth. Mistress 9 swallows the souls of the four inner senshi, but Hotaru, who is still within her, decides that she must save the inner senshi, ChibiUsa, and the ginzuishou by separating herself from Mistress 9. She does so, and the now freed Mistress 9 transformed into a monster that begins to draw Master Pharaoh 90 toward the Earth. The senshi try to attack her, but she only absorbs their attacks. Super Sailor Moon decides that she must sacrifice herself in order to save the world, and she dives into the monster with the Holy Grail. From within comes Sailor Saturn, now reborn. Sailor Saturn uses her Death Reborn Revolution attack to pull energy away from the monster and push it back to the Tau star system. She then tells Sailor Pluto to seal the monster and Master Pharaoh 90 away to the other star system, which she does.
