Countess Rose

Countess Rose was a famous English aristocrat who appeared in episode 037. According to Naru, she recently moved from England and upon arrival, several girls' parents asked her to give their daughters a "princess's education." She agreed, and began a program called the Princess Seminar in order to train young girls to behave like refined princesses. The countess claimed that one of her favorite hobbies was throwing a frisbee, and she required all girls entering the Princess Seminar to display proficiency with the frisbee. Because of this requirement, Usagi was ultimately able to get into the program despite lacking any grace or skill at anything else. She was extremely good at throwing a frisbee. Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako couldn't believe that Usagi actually joined the program without them, so they decided to "keep her company" by joining as well.

It soon became clear that Countess Rose was actually under the control of Kunzite. He hoped to find the true identity of Sailor Moon through her Princess Seminar, speculating that the real Sailor Moon would be unusually adept at the frisbee, but would be too clumsy to actually graduate from the program. The last class of the seminar was ballroom dancing. Countess Rose told the girls that she would tap them on the shoulder if they passed. All of the girls graduated except for Usagi, Rei, and Minako, who turned out to be very bad at dancing. The other girls were taken into a special room, where Countess Rose transformed into the youma Shakokai and sprayed them with green liquid, causing them to turn into wax figures. She then went back outside, knowing that either Usagi, Rei, or Minako must be Sailor Moon. She began attacking the girls, but Luna and Artemis soon appeared and jumped on her face, temporarily obstructing her vision while the girls transformed. After a brief battle, Sailor Moon used Moon Healing Escalation to heal Shakokai, causing her to transform back into Countess Rose. She was not seen again during the series, but she presumably went back to her normal life after her encounter with Kunzite and the Sailor Senshi.

Countess Rose's seiyuu was Youko Kawanami.
