D Point

D Point was the location of the Dark Kingdom's secret lair at the North Pole.

D Point was the location of the Dark Kingdom's secret lair. For some time during the first season, the Senshi, Artemis, and Luna sought the entrance to D Point in order to attack the Dark Kingdom. Finally, in episode 044, Sailor Venus and Artemis found a tunnel leading to D Point in a small cafe called La Crepe. As soon as all five girls and the cats arrived, they all went into the tunnel together. They were immediately attacked by Kunzite, who attempted to send the girls into an alternate dimension. Instead, the Ginzuishou guided them to the ruins of the Moon Kingdom, where Queen Serenity told them about their past. Meanwhile, Luna and Artemis (who had escaped Kunzite's attacked) trudged on until they found the exit to the tunnel, which Artemis stated was located at the North Pole. After finding the crater marking the actual entrance to the Dark Kingdom's lair, they were attacked by Kunzite. Luckily, the Sailor Senshi arrived just in time to rescue them and kill Kunzite.

In episode 045, the Sailor Senshi used Sailor Teleport to transport themselves to the D Point. When they arrived, a blizzard was raging and it was extremely cold. Sailor Mercury was able to use her mini super computer to pinpoint an area from which a large amount of evil energy was being released. Almost immediately upon entering D Point, the Senshi were attacked by the DD Girls, five female youma sent by Queen Beryl to "deliver a death sentence" to the girls. After a series of battles, the youma were killed - along with all of the Senshi except for Sailor Moon. Though she was initially grief-stricken over the deaths of her friends, she quickly realized that her friends would want her to remain strong. She became more determined than ever to reach the Dark Kingdom's lair and defeat Queen Beryl.

In episode 046, the final between Sailor Moon and Super Beryl took place here. Super Beryl, a large merged form of Queen Beryl and Queen Metallia, emerged from the Dark Kingdom's lair and attacked Sailor Moon. The attack caused a huge pillar of ice to appear. Princess Serenity stood on top of the ice pillar and attacked Queen Beryl with "Moon Healing Escalation." With the help of the spirits of her friends, Princess Serenity was able to use the power of the Ginzuishou to destroy Super Beryl, thus defeating the Dark Kingdom. Sailor Moon also died after the battle. Fortunately, everyone was revived and returned to their normal lives, although they had no memories of their lives as Sailor Senshi.
