Rabbit in the Moon

Rae -- the English name that Kodansha proposed for Sailor Mars, in her civilian form. However, DiC, who actually dubbed the anime, gave her the name Raye Hino. In the Japanese original, her name is Rei Hino.

Rain from the Heart -- Rain from the Heart is a CD released by the famous jazz pianist Yusuke Amade, who appears in episode 006. Naru Osaka owns this CD.

Rain Tree -- a restaurant where Zoisite disguises himself as a female pianist in the short side story "Casablanca Memories." The Dark Kingdom creates Rain Tree music boxes which cause people to remember the past when they hear the music - the boxes drain the energy of humans. One is controlling Makoto, and Rei destroys it. She transforms into Sailor Mars, goes to the Rain Tree restaurant, and attacks Zoisite - but Zoisite disappears, angry that he could not avenge Jadeite's death.

Rainbow Crystals -- one of the seven shards of the Imperium Silver Crystal that appeared in the first season of Sailor Moon. During the Silver Millennium, there were seven monsters loyal to Queen Beryl who aided her in her attempt to overthrow the Moon Kingdom. Queen Serenity imprisoned the seven monsters within separate shards of the Imperium Silver Crystal which came to be known as Rainbow Crystals. Because each was the color of one of the seven colors of the rainbow. The Rainbow Crystals were taken to Earth where they were reincarnated in the present time with no memory of their existence as monsters. In the first season of Sailor Moon, the Negaverse searched for the Rainbow Crystals in order to form the Imperium Silver Crystal, whose power their leader, Queen Metallia, needed in order to fully revive. The Seven Great Monsters could actually merge together to form one incredibly powerful, shadowy demonic entity, and in episode 41, the Rainbow Crystal carriers were gathered together for this purpose by the Negaverse, but the power to become one was never demonstrated. The Rainbow Crystals are also known as Nijizuishou.

Rainbow Double Moon Heart Ache -- An attack used by Sailor Moon and Sailor ChibiMoon. It first appeared in Volume 10, Act 33.

Rainbow Moon Heart Ache -- Super Sailor Moon's attack which is basically an upgrade of Moon Spiral Heart Attack. The same maneuver is performed, but this attack can only be used when she has transformed into Super Sailor Moon. It appears in episode 112 of the anime and Volume 09, Act 29 of the manga. In the SuperS movie album, it is called "Rainbow Moon Heart Quake."

Rainbow Moon Heart Quake -- the name given for Rainbow Moon Heart Ache in the SuperS movie album.

Raye Hino-- the DiC name given to Rei Hino, who transforms into Sailor Mars. She has long black hair. See also: Rei Hino, Sailor Mars.

Red Battler

Red Cercis Kingdom -- a widely used, but incorrect, name for the Tankei Kingdom, the kingdom on the planet Kinmokusei that Princess Kakyuu is from. This incorrect name is used in the Alex Glover translations. Please see Tankei Kingdom.

Red Crow, Sailor -- The name given to Sailor Lead Crow in the Mixx/Tokyopop English translation of the manga. The katakana characters for her name may represent both "red" and "lead," but calling her "Red Crow" ignores the fact that the animamates include the name of a metal in their names, not a color. In the Japanese original, she is called Sailor Lead Crow. For more information on this character, please see "Lead Crow, Sailor."

Red Soup -- Red Soup is a product for which the Three Lights shoot a commercial in episode 175. They shoot the commercial in a field on a farm. At a table, each member of the Three Lights lifts a goblet filled with the red liquid and and clinks it together with the other memebers' glasses. They begin drinking at the same time, and when they finish, they smile and say, "We drink it, too!" When the director decides to try the shot from a different angle, Usagi counts on her fingers and realizes that this the fifth take! She decides to try the product for herself, but finds it to taste extremely bad.

Redman -- Redman was sentai hero who appeared in episode 032. He appeared in the amusement part show Redman Show: Monster Fighter Redman, which Naru and Umino went to see. Zoisite had modified the Kurozuishou so that it could transform ordinary humans into youma, hoping to transform Naru into a youma and lure Sailor Moon into the open. He followed Naru to the Redman show. When he used the crystal, he missed and the crystal's beam hit the actor playing Redman instead. He quickly transformed into the youma Akan, and began throwing marimo (green algae) balls at the audience members, who were engulfed in them when they were hit. Fortunately, Sailor Moon soon arrived and healed Akan, causing him to transform back into the actor playing Redman. The show soon resumed, with the audience members believing that the brief battle with Sailor Moon was part of the act. Redman's seiyuu was Shinobu Satouchi.

Redman Show: Monster Fighter Redman -- The Redman Show was a live stage show performed in episode 032. Naru and Umino went to a local amusement park to see a performance of the show. Zoisite had modified the Kurozuishou so that it could transform ordinary humans into youma, hoping to transform Naru into a youma and lure Sailor Moon into the open. He followed Naru to the Redman show. When he used the crystal, he missed and the crystal's beam hit the actor playing Redman instead. Reika Aya -- Aluminum Seiren's civilian form. She first appears in episode 182. She is very naive and happy-go-lucky. She is very much like Usagi. When something goes wrong, or she becomes depressed, she eats. She never seems really worried, even while looking for a victim; she usually just eats. This, among other habits, drives her partner, Lead Crow, insane. She has long blue hair, and blue eyes, and wears a purple jacket with a white skirt, and sunglasses. Aluminum Seiren is killed in episode 188, so we don't see Reika Aya anymore either.

Rental Shop Dark -- A video store opened by Zoisite in volume 02, act 07. All of the videos in the store contain subliminal message that brainwash viewers into trying to capture Sailor Moon and get the ginzuishou.

Rin, pyou, tou, sha, kai, jin, retsu, sai, zen. Akuryou Taisan! -- the attack the Sailor Mars uses that employs anti-evil scrolls from her temple. She holds the scroll and yells, "Rin, pyou, tou, sha, kai, jin, retsu, sai, zen. Akuryou Taisan!" She then throws the scroll at the target. This stops the target's movement long enough for another attack to be used to destroy it. She can use this attack even when she is in her civilian form, as Rei Hino. This attack is sometimes called simply "Akuryou Taisan."

Rini -- the DiC name given to ChibiUsa, who transforms into Sailor Mini Moon. She has pink hair in two pigtails with pointed buns at the top. See also: ChibiUsa, Sailor ChibiMoon, Sailor Mini Moon.

Rita -- Andrew's girlfriend, and later fiancee. She was also a holder of one of the rainbow crystals. She disappeared for a while, but later reappeared in Sailor Moon SuperS, and was a target for the Amazon Trio because she had beautiful dreams. In the first season she was working in Africa as an archaeologist. In SuperS, she was accepted into college in Europe, but was uncertain about leaving Motoki. He said that he wouldn't forget her, so she went, and did not appear in Sailor Moon again. In the Japanese original, she is known as Reika.

Robert -- Fish Eye's victim from episode 143. He is a soccer player who is about ChibiUsa's age, and Fish Eye is turned on by his smooth skin. He poses at a young girl and uses the lemures Mawashi-taro to attack him.

Robert Tinkler -- sometimes called 'Rob.' Robert was the voice for Pupuran in the dubbed Sailor Moon Super S movie, and fro Rubius from Sailor Moon R. He has also appeared in Loser, Angela Anaconda, Sam and Max: Freelance Police, Future Fear, and Twice in a Lifetime.

Roland Parlaiment -- the English voice actor for Melvin and was voice director for the first 65 English episodes. He was also the voice of Zeller's Zeddy Bear.

Rolling Heart Vibration -- Sailor Venus's manga only attack in which she throws a rolling heart that inflicts great damage on the enemy. It first appears in act 11, volume 03. black & white manga

Romance Under the Moon! Usagi's First Kiss

Room 1306 -- The apartment that Kaioh Michiru lives in the Kaioh zone of a three zone area of land. Her birthday is within the room number: 1 - 3 (March) - 06 (sixth).

Round Pen -- the name of one of the fountain pens that the daimon U Henshuu uses in episode 113. She calls out the name of the pen, then throws it at her opponent. The other pens are G-Pen (Water Pen) and Kabura Pen (Sharp Pen).
