Yaten is rude, arrogant, blunt and sarcastic. If he has something to say about someone, he'll say so.
He also is completely devoted to finding his princess, and like Taiki, is not swayed by emotions.
In episode 178, Yaten's softer side was shown. He adopted Luna, who he thought was a stray,
for a pet show. He pampered the cat, and Luna found out that he was happy if there was
"that one woman".

Yaten is VERY loyal to Kakyuu. He is contanstly reminding and reprimanding Seiya
when he thinks he's getting off track and is distracted by Usagi. Most of the time, Yaten sides with Taiki
when it comes to Usagi and his princess. When the Outers say that they can protect their planet,
Healer said that they shouldn't boast(though he was at the moment) and that they haven't seen a true battle.
Throughout the series, and especially towards the end he finds that friendship and compassion are valuable to a person.

He turns female when he transforms,
in the anime, and is female only in the manga.
